Trinta anos atrás, Bono descreveu 'Achtung Baby' como "o som de quatro homens derrubando The Joshua Tree", enquanto Jon Pareles do New York Times escreveu que "despojado e desafiando suas fórmulas antigas, o U2 deu a si mesmo uma chance de lutar pelos anos 90".

Hoje, a Island Records, a Interscope e a UMe anunciam o lançamento da edição de 30º aniversário de 'Achtung Baby', que terá um lançamento especial em vinil preto padrão, junto com um lançamento em vinil colorido Deluxe em 19 de novembro, com 'Achtung Baby' (2018 Remaster) e 'Achtung Baby' (Unter Remixes) também disponíveis digitalmente no mesmo dia.
E em 3 de dezembro chega o box digital de 50 faixas, incluindo Uber Remixes, Unter Remixes e B-Sides com 22 faixas nunca antes disponíveis digitalmente.
Gravado ao longo de seis meses no Hansa Studio em Berlin e Windmill Lane em Dublin, 'Achtung Baby 'é o sétimo álbum de estúdio do U2. Produzido por colaboradores de longa data do U2, Daniel Lanois e Brian Eno com Steve Lillywhite, 'Achtung Baby' teve engenharia de Flood e foi lançado em 18 de novembro de 1991. Liderado por "The Fly", outros quatro singles se seguiram: "Mysterious Ways", "One", "Even Better Than The Real Thing" e "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses".
