A semelhança entre as canções “Walk On” do U2 e “Eclipse” do Pink Floyd

O escritor Russell Reising, em seu livro de 2005 'Speak to Me: The Legacy of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon', inclui esta nota final: "Os momentos finais de 'Walk On' do U2 do álbum All That You Can't Leave Behind (2001), é uma referência deliberadamente à força emocional cumulativa de 'Eclipse', e seu status como um discurso final de resolução."
O Pink Floyd em sua canção diz que nada importa, porque tudo foi eclipsado pela escuridão. Tudo é nada (o que parece um pouco como Eclesiastes).
A canção do U2 diz que nada importa, porque podemos deixar para trás para caminhar para a luz (o que parece um pouco mais do Novo Testamento).
