A versão definitiva de "Wake Up Dead Man" do U2 é cheia de ruídos, vozes e coisas quase indecifráveis ao fundo, e a banda realmente resolveu deixar propositalmente inúmeras surpresas na faixa durante a mixagem final, que supostamente devem ter sido registradas durante todas as sessões de estúdio em que a canção foi trabalhada desde que seu título surgiu ainda em 1986.
Se você pegar a canção e isolar (em um programa de áudio) o canal esquerdo do canal direito, muitas coisas interessantes e estranhas surgirão. Ouvindo com fones de ouvido, fica bem mais fácil:
